Most Philadelphians know only of Rita’s, but the ice is best across the river. Dig Diane’s radio balls: soft serve + water ice. Dana once swooned for one of their special feature water ice flavors: raspberry chocolate truffle.
Diane’s used to close down for the fall and winter, so Dana and I would make an annual trek late in the summer to stock up two quarts of water ice for delectable shivers. But Diane’s recently decided to open year-round with the announcement of a new offering: gelato.

Diane’s is the best. We track across the river from Bucks County, PA just for their great water ice!
